Meet the Therapist
Robbie Konecki
Hey, I'm Robbie, your friendly neighbourhood counsellor / psychotherapist in Ottawa. I’m especially passionate about men’s mental health and supporting young adults—particularly those navigating anxiety, stress, or the feeling of being stuck.
I've been practicing since 2013, with experience in the mental health field dating back to 2009. Before launching my private practice in 2017, I worked in mental health research, group homes, crisis intervention, and post-secondary counselling. In addition to private practice, I lead program evaluation and quality improvement initiatives in the public healthcare sector. I’m also a clinical supervisor for fellow psychotherapists registered with the CRPO.
Outside of work, I recharge by staying active with swimming and the gym, baking (ask me about sourdough), and playing tabletop RPGs—my current character is a chaotic-good gnome grandma with a spirit-powered rolling pin. Avid foodie here!
M.Ed, Registered Psychotherapist, Canadian Certified CounsellorCredentials

I believe therapy can be both meaningful and totally unpretentious.
I value authenticity, flexibility, and mindfulness in my approach. My goal is to offer space where you can speak freely, feel supported, and make sense of what’s going on in your life. I keep things genuine and down-to-earth—whether that means diving into deeper patterns or sharing a laugh (because sometimes, laughter really is the best medicine).
My Philosophy
Meaningful ideas
Insight matters, but so does knowing what to do with it. Therapy should connect to your day-to-day.

How I work
Therapy with me is tailored, not one-size-fits-all. My core lens is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), but I draw from a range of evidence-based models depending on your needs. If you're curious, I’ve linked to some helpful Wikipedia pages below for a high-level overview of each approach:
My Services
A 50-minute clinical supervision session focused on helping you grow and develop as a therapist. Whether you're looking to discuss challenging cases, build confidence in your clinical skills, work through ethical questions, or simply have space to reflect on your work, supervision can provide support, perspective, and practical guidance. Individual and dyadic supervision options are available for Registered Psychotherapists (Qualifying) and Registered Psychotherapists. Available virtually and in person.
The core service. A 50-minute counselling and psychotherapy session where we can slow down, make sense of what's happening, and work toward meaningful change. Available virtually and in person.
A complimentary meet and greet and a chance for us to get to know each other. These conversations typically last 15–20 minutes and provide an opportunity to discuss what's bringing you to therapy, ask questions, and learn more about my approach. We may also cover some initial assessment and intake information. By the end of the conversation, we'll have a better sense of whether moving forward together feels like the right fit.
